Camp MARC has been of service to the mentally and physically handicapped of Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and beyond for over 50 years.The concept for Camp MARC began with a few pioneering parents who wanted to offer their mentally and physically handicapped children an opportunity to experience summer camp like other children. The campers consist of adults who have mental retardation as a primary diagnosis, while many also have some physical handicap as well.Many clients also have physical disabilities, hearing or vision impairment, and medical conditions such as diabetes or epilepsy.Visit our Camper page for answers to frequently asked questions and other resources. Camp PARC provides at least one junior counselor for every two participants and at least one senior counselor for every four participants. Nestled in the Laurel Highlands of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Camp PARC welcomes campers to one of its three summer camping sessions, held each year in July.
